Experiential Activation Create Community Involvement

Challenge

The National Basketball Player Association wanted to make their flagship holiday event, NBPA 450 Gives, bigger than ever. Their focus was to create an experiential activation that would support black-owned businesses, establish celebrity involvement, bring the community together, and get sponsors involved.

Solution

The NBPA used a Looking Glass bus in Los Angeles to drive conversation and brand awareness across a 14-day multi-location Experiential event. We timed the tour to start on “Black-owned Friday”, promoting local businesses, distributing  prizes every day and bringing the community members together with a toy drive. Fans were able to hop aboard the bus to view their gallery of basketball memorabilia. NBA Legends Cuttino Mobley and Matt Barnes made special appearances, among others!
